Editorial policy
This policy sets out how Doccio's health content is written, reviewed and kept up to date.
Purpose
This policy explains how Doccio produces, reviews and maintains the health information published on this site, so patients, employers and clinicians can understand the standards behind it.
Who writes our content
Health content is drafted with clinical input and reviewed by a registered doctor before publication. Content is written to explain conditions, treatments and services in plain Australian English.
Clinical review process
Every medical page names the doctor who reviewed it, the date it was reviewed, and a content version number. Pages are reviewed at least every 12 months, or sooner if clinical guidance changes.
Sources we use
We draw on healthdirect Australia, RACGP guidance, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), and peer-reviewed literature. References used for a specific page are listed on that page.
What we don't do
- We do not invent statistics or figures.
- We do not publish testimonials unless they are real and the patient has consented.
- Our content does not replace individual medical advice from a consult with a doctor.
Corrections
If you believe a page contains an error, please contact us describing the page and the issue. We review reported errors and correct confirmed inaccuracies, updating the review date and version.
